From Kahului take hana hwy 36 towards Haleakala. Turn right on to Haleakala Hwy 37 south. You will stay on this highway for 30 minutes or so, entering into Kula, passing Kula Elementary School on the right. you will soon apporach Rice Memorial Park on the left. take the 2nd left after Rice Park. Drive about 1/4 mil, rounding a bend, taking a quick right up Waipoli Road. Continue up the road till you reach the cattle guard, and turn right immediately before the cattle guard, on to the cement driveway. Follow the signs to the parking area.
