Napili Bay -- South of Kapalua Our number one favorite beach Napili Bay is usually best for swimming and skim boarding along the shoreline. Sometimes has dangerous shorebreaks, but is usually the most calm beach. An excellent snorkeling spot. The north end by Napili Kai Resort Hotel is usually calmer than the south end. The south end by Napili Surf Hotel has little tide pools that are fun to explore and splash around in for little ones. Occasionaly you can spot a turtle swimming there. Both ends of the beach have rinsing showers. Airport Beach - North of Black Rock in Ka'anapali My Husband and son like to make sandcastles here-- They say the sand sticks together better here. Bathrooms, picnic tables, grassy area, rinsing showers. Black Rock -- Ka‘anapali Beach. Great for snorkelers and swimmers, experienced SCUBA divers. Coral and tropical fish are abundant. This is the northernmost section of Kaanapali Beach.
D. T. Fleming Beach Park -- Kapalua Named "America's Best Beach" in 2006. Best for body and boogie board surfing. A little rough for swimming and little keiki. Picnic tables, grass area, restrooms, rinsing shower. Lifeguards on duty.
Kaanapali Beach -- Kaanapali Resort Three miles of beach; sailboat and catamaran rides and rentals; surf and windsurf lessons. Easy walking access from all Kaanapali hotels. “Dig Me Beach. Named "America's Best Beach" in 2003” We like to go shopping at Whaler's Village and then stop and play at the beach for a little while.
Kapalua Beach -- Kapalua Resort Or, Old Fleming Beach, Kapalua is the first of Maui's beaches, and the first beach ever, to be named “"America's Best Beach" (1991).” Great snorkeling beach. Has restrooms and rinsing showers.
Launiupoko Beach Park -- South of Lahaina Has a natural pool surrounded by a lava rock wall that is great for small children; great for surfing. Has grass area, picnic tables, grills and restrooms.
